--> Getting It Right: Now, what would happen if they did this research on public school teachers?

Now, what would happen if they did this research on public school teachers?

In the category of "no kidding", this report was released by the CD Howe Institute today.

Highlights? Professors who work in environments that are merit based rather than seniority based perform better - AND SO DO THEIR STUDENTS!!

We all know that it is un-Canadian to think like this guys, so stop it!

More like federal liberal base than unCanadian, regarding equality base rather than merrit.

Erin - You should turn on the anti-spam feature on your blog so that would-be commentators have to type in a keyword in order to post a comment. It'll help you avoid spam-bots like ol' "Antonio".

Hi, Ms. Airton,
I did read your column with interest and to make up for the possible “nasty” letters you may get decided to take the time to write some encouraging words. You expressed extremely well, what I am sure are the feelings of a great number of Canadians.
The question put to Stephen Harper by a reporter, which is being irresponsibly dismissed as merely stupid, was actually a sneaky disguised way to imply what you did mention on your column and is widely used by the Liberals as a way try to keep in power.
I hope that you will continue your common sense column, as I find that unfortunately there are few people in the media who have the courage of expressing their true feelings and instead disguise their biased opinions.
Keep up the good work,
