Why we need better government in Ottawa

This news release from John Williamson at the Canadian Taxpayers Federation sums it up quite well.

$21.3 BILLION in new program spending?!? Why? How?

Once I cool off, I'm sure this will only serve to remind me that the time has come for a Conservative government.

Hopefully Canadians will start to care before the Liberals leech all hope and prosperity from our nation.

I was having dinner last night with someone who said that Ralph Klein was a good conservative because he only spent money when he had it. It always makes me wonder just why the public needs to have the government spend more on things, and furthermore, how the public could be bought so.

Doesn't it seem disingenuous to take someone else's money and promise to spend it on something they might or might not want and/or need? You'd think so, but apparently people don't think beyond that.

Many Canadians don't realize governments have no money-it's business, employment and citizens tax money. Other than for real emergency's, governments should not spend more than what they take in. The interest governments spend due to over spending could have been used better, for some social programs or debt payments,ect.,. A conservative government usually is better than liberal or NDP at fiscal matters. Socialist governments spend much on social programs, which often gets it's citizens dependant upon government, rather than independant citizens. Dependant citizens thus need the left-socialists types of governments. These left-socilist governments than gain more power and control over their citizens. Canada being a compassionate-Christian nation should have some basic social programs but not like how the Fed-Liberals want, eventually to be the mommy and daddy.
